Hallo!

I am Adwaith. I just finished my mba from MDI/ESCP in 2026. I have a background in computer science (NITK 2020 batch). I worked at Cisco systems for four years as a software engineer. I mostly worked on L2 security protocols like 802.1x, MACsec, MAB and some interesting research projects. I will be joining American Express as an analyst in some time.

I got interested in cybersecurity early on during my bachelors, all from a workshop conducted by 2 of my favorite seniors. My interest in it got me an internship at Cisco, then a job there. So did computer security for good 6-7 years. Post that, I decided to pursue an mba, ended up doing the craziest course there is, the PGDM-IB program from MDI. I was/am a newbie to the world of management, so everything fascinated me - I started off with information systems, business process management because they were technology-adjacent and was easiest to grasp. Then spent some time studying operations research, operations management, logistics. With time, my interest towards “big picture” slowly grew, so now just read stuff on economics, strategy, organizational behavior, management control. I regret not taking finance and accounting seriously, the only subjects which felt like they needed focus and rigor :/. These days, I call myself an analyst because it sounds cool (but it sounds utterly cliched too, every other person is an analyst these days lmao). I’ll ride with that for time being ;)

This blog was dead for quite some time. I wrote nothing late 2021 to early 2025. Thought of revamping this again because I felt like writing something again. Keep visiting if this interests you.

I see that lives of many mba graduates is like below. Hope mine doesn’t become like that ;)
